The joys of occupation

The U.S. forces in Iraq are trained not to stop or linger so that they can best avoid insurgent attacks. This leads to some “interesting” driving in heavy and slow traffic conditions. This video shows a Humvee in action:

I can’t help but think of how annoyed and angry I would be if I was an Iraqi in a car or a bus being rammed to the side of the road. Hell, I get angry when police setup seat-belt checkpoints.

What good can our army possibly do there if in the process of peace-keeping, they piss of every Iraqi in the country? I’m not sure there is a good solution to the problem, and it shows just how effective the insurgents have been.
