Wall in the West Bank

According to the NYTimes, the Bush administration had a secret agreement with Israel whereby they “allowed Israel to build West Bank settlement housing within certain guidelines while still publicly claiming to honor a settlement ‘freeze.’”

And peace becomes that much harder to achieve.

Harry Reid, the Dem. Senate Majority Leader, plays his moron card again. While discussing Supreme Curt nominee Sonia Sotomayor, Reid had this to say:

I understand that during her career, she’s written hundreds and hundreds of opinions. I haven’t read a single one of them, and if I’m fortunate before we end this, I won’t have to read one of them.

A panel on MSNBC’s Morning Joe can’t come up with a single example of a successful unionized business:

Apparently they were unaware that they work at a mega-successful corporation (GE) that employs many unionized workers. But I guess facts go out the window when you’re on a mission to demonize…

Andrew Sullivan on abortion:

Of course women have a unique and often more legitimate perspective on abortion. But to strictly genderize the debate is a red herring. After all, Roe was decided by seven old men.

I just want to say that I’m comfortable strictly genderizing it.

Just for fun, here is John Cole crushing Sullivan on abortion.

Obama said a single word in Arabic, therefor he is a Muslim. There is no hope for this country…

It’s about time for this week’s moral panic to kick into high gear.

Lakers suck. They will probably win though.

I actually think the Magic will win. The Lakers *need* Odom and one of the three PGs to play well, and that won’t happen enough I fear.

You will know for sure who will win in game 1. If the Lakers come out and either a) stomp the Magic or b) keep it close and hand it over to Kobe for the win at the end, then the Lake show will win. If the Magic come out and make the Lakers look like little boys like they did to the Cavs in game 1, then the Magic will win.

So, are you now predicting the Lakers will win the series?

  6. Ian

Well I was anyways, but game one should be sufficient proof that the Lakers are a better team. They only have to pull it together 3 more times and you know they will.
